about
This song is about how social media made us lax about security culture endangering spaces, but also made DIY music more inclusive and accessible to outsiders and therefore much more interesting and diverse in a short period of time. The choice must be made: Be safer and more exclusive and less accessible? Or inclusive and exposed?
When Argus rebuilds the Argo, though he may replace every single piece of the ship, it still is the Argo. If we lose all our spaces and have to start over, it still isn’t starting from scratch.
lyrics
GO DARK
The forest where we used to live
Became suburban lawns
There's driveways on where the thickets were
That once protected fawns
We're pushed out of our shelter
We've got no place to go
We are edge forest creatures
We perish in the road
I'm not afraid of moving on
Let go or be dragged
I'm afraid of never building
Always losing what we had
The Argo is the Argo still
With all her parts replaced
No one ever starts from scratch
Regroup, rebuild, erase
The Argo is the Argo still
Though tossed and wrecked by waves
Torn down to the bulkhead yet
the Argo it remains
Eternally rebuilt
But never twice the same
Nothing here is solid
Everything is change
Hide till it's blown over and
come back to better days
Be ready to begin again
Attack, sustain, decay
A ship is safe at port
But that's not what ships are for
Voyage to new lands or
Crash on rocky shores
Emerge from fading forests or
Retreat into your cave
Endangered and effective or
Obscured where you are safe

A magical mixture of new wave, prog, doom, and the overall obscure. Amazing people. Check out all their music and see them live when they come your way Curse
This is the type of album you listen to while cowering in the corner in the fetal position with tears streaming down your face. End Position is abrasive, horrifying, nihilistic, and brilliant. nnpoc.
