Go Dark 04:57
GO DARK The forest where we used to live Became suburban lawns There's driveways on where the thickets were That once protected fawns We're pushed out of our shelter We've got no place to go We are edge forest creatures We perish in the road I'm not afraid of moving on Let go or be dragged I'm afraid of never building Always losing what we had The Argo is the Argo still With all her parts replaced No one ever starts from scratch Regroup, rebuild, erase The Argo is the Argo still Though tossed and wrecked by waves Torn down to the bulkhead yet the Argo it remains Eternally rebuilt But never twice the same Nothing here is solid Everything is change Hide till it's blown over and come back to better days Be ready to begin again Attack, sustain, decay A ship is safe at port But that's not what ships are for Voyage to new lands or Crash on rocky shores Emerge from fading forests or Retreat into your cave Endangered and effective or Obscured where you are safe

SOMEBODY HAS TO WIN You don't know me Not that well You don't know me Not that well Here in love Where no one gets hurt Here in friendship Where no one gives up When I feel the same way Nothing gets done Punish yourself Give up, give up, give up When I feel like laughing nothing gets done Look at yourself Give up, give up, give up Always got something to say Haven't you, haven't you Always got somewhere to be We both know this is a lie And where are you now Caught holding both hands out If you think I give a fuck About anyone but myself You've got me wrong I would desert you Hurt you Kill you I would do anything To further my own designs (friend)

ANNIVERSARY Claim your piece of dirt Five years on the hour Brake lights in the mist You poor bastard One long pull Washing down his teeth Blaming yourself again One way out Always out of reach Just a little further and you’ll Wash him off the street There he goes Been offline a while now Been behind the feed Switching up addictions It’s all the same disease You pay for it upfront And then again at the end Just one more pull Washing down their meat Catching your breath again One way out Always out of reach Just a little further and you’ll Sweep them off the street Almost there

about

Curse, Baltimore dark electro doom.
Street Sects, Austin volatile synth punk.

Long-time friends of Realicide, and an excellent combination of contemporary bands truly following their own personalized definitions of any genres they may be descendant of, which remains the artistic basis of the Realicide label.

GO DARK by Curse

The forest where we used to live
Became suburban lawns
There's driveways on where the thickets were
That once protected fawns
We're pushed out of our shelter
We've got no place to go
We are edge forest creatures
We perish in the road

I'm not afraid of moving on
Let go or be dragged
I'm afraid of never building
Always losing what we had
The Argo is the Argo still
With all her parts replaced
No one ever starts from scratch
Regroup, rebuild, erase

The Argo is the Argo still
Though tossed and wrecked by waves
Torn down to the bulkhead yet
the Argo it remains
Eternally rebuilt
But never twice the same
Nothing here is solid
Everything is change
Hide till it's blown over and
come back to better days
Be ready to begin again
Attack, sustain, decay

A ship is safe at port
But that's not what ships are for
Voyage to new lands or
Crash on rocky shores
Emerge from fading forests or
Retreat into your cave
Endangered and effective or
Obscured where you are safe

This song is about how social media made us lax about security culture endangering spaces, but also made DIY music more inclusive and accessible to outsiders and therefore much more interesting and diverse in a short period of time. The choice must be made: Be safer and more exclusive and less accessible? Or inclusive and exposed?

When Argus rebuilds the Argo, though he may replace every single piece of the ship, it still is the Argo. If we lose all our spaces and have to start over, it still isn’t starting from scratch.

SOMEBODY HAS TO WIN by Street Sects

You don't know me
Not that well
You don't know me
Not that well

Here in love
Where no one gets hurt
Here in friendship
Where no one gives up

When I feel the same way
Nothing gets done
Punish yourself
Give up, give up, give up
When I feel like laughing
nothing gets done
Look at yourself
Give up, give up, give up

Always got something to say
Haven't you, haven't you
Always got somewhere to be
We both know this is a lie
And where are you now
Caught holding both hands out
If you think I give a fuck
About anyone but myself
You've got me wrong
I would desert you
Hurt you
Kill you
I would do anything
To further my own designs
(friend)

ANNIVERSARY by Street Sects

Claim your piece of dirt
Five years on the hour
Brake lights in the mist
You poor bastard

One long pull
Washing down his teeth
Blaming yourself again
One way out
Always out of reach
Just a little further and you’ll
Wash him off the street

There he goes

Been offline a while now
Been behind the feed
Switching up addictions
It’s all the same disease
You pay for it upfront
And then again at the end

Just one more pull
Washing down their meat
Catching your breath again
One way out
Always out of reach
Just a little further and you’ll
Sweep them off the street

Almost there
